Flow-active's Yoga in High Park Kick-off!

Where: High Park, just west of the Bloor Street Entrance
What to bring: Sunscreen, a mat or towel, water, an open mind

 

We're thrilled to announce the kick off session of Flow-active's Yoga in High Park. Join us this Sunday June 28th at 10:00am for a beginner friendly hour long yoga flow.

The wonderful Annu Gaidhu, founder of Healing Hearts Project, will introduce the summer long festivities by talking about the mission of Healing Hearts Project.

Yoga in High Park is a free event. In the spirit of karma we will be accepting donations to Healing Hearts. 

The first class will be led by Barreworks (Queen St. West)

Instructor: Lina Jiménez

Lina Jiménez is a registered yoga teacher and holistic lifestyle coach, certified fitness professional and personal training specialist.  She is also the co-creator and designer of the Barreworks™ fitness programs.

 

Lina combines western and eastern approaches to health, kinesiology, movement, anatomy, injury prevention and rehabilitation to help encourage holistic and long lasting benefits.

 

Dance provides a great foundation for her work. She received her early dance training at the Academia de Ballet Anna Pavlova  in Bogotaì, and then completed the certificate program at the world renowned School of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in NYC and The School of Toronto Dance Theatre.  She has performed extensively across Canada, New York, Colombia, Mexico, Europe and Japan.  Lina is the co-director of the humanitarian program Healing Through Dance and the co-artistic director of DeviationDance.

Lina is a native of Bogotaì Colombia, and now resides in Toronto.
